Last week, the InnOFoodLabs project participated in BIOFACH 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for organic products, held in Nuremberg. Throughout the event, project partners engaged with visitors and stakeholders to share the work being carried out to foster a more innovative, resilient, and collaborative organic sector in Europe.
A key highlight of the week took place on Friday, 13 February, during a dedicated event in the Planetary Health Area (Hall 9). This session marked the official introduction of InnOFoodLabs to professionals, organisations, and key actors across the organic value chain.
Participants learned about the project’s objectives, current activities, and upcoming opportunities, with particular attention given to the launch of the InnOFoodLabs Community of Practice. This community is open to all stakeholders interested in:
- Connecting with like‑minded professionals
- Exploring opportunities for collaboration
- Staying informed about project developments, activities, and events
- Contributing to the future of organic innovation in Europe
Throughout the fair, visitors were also able to learn more about the project at the stands of InnOFoodLabs partners IFOAM, Ecovalia, AöL, Gino Girolomoni, and Fabas, whose teams provided information and engaged with attendees about the project’s goals and next steps.
Participation in BIOFACH 2026 represents an important milestone for InnOFoodLabs, reinforcing the project’s commitment to advancing innovation in the organic sector and strengthening collaboration across Europe.
The InnOFoodLabs team extends its appreciation to everyone who visited and expressed interest in the project. Together, we continue building the future of organic innovation.
