InnOFoodLabs actively collaborates with a network of European research and innovation projects that share a common vision for transforming the food system. By joining forces, these initiatives promote knowledge exchange, strengthen advisory and innovation capacities, and foster cooperation across value chains – from primary producers to industry and consumers. This collaborative approach enhances visibility, creates synergies, and accelerates the uptake of sustainable and innovative solutions across Europe.
Below, we highlight sister projects that work alongside InnOFoodLabs to support resilient, fair, and future-oriented food systems.
The EU4ADVICE project promotes sustainable short food supply chain (SFSC) models. These should empower producers and consumers, reduce the environmental footprint of food systems, and enhance the competitiveness of the agri-food system. Identifying and connecting SFSC advisors will boost their role as catalysers of knowledge flow from research to practice.

This project has received funding from the European Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101059911.
Circular Bio-Based Business models to create high-value Bio-based products in integrated value chains. Primary production in agriculture and forestry represents an essential part of the European circular bioeconomy. However, the involvement of primary producers in the circular bio-based economy is still limited, and the benefits are in most cases not fairly distributed along the value chain, to the disadvantage of primary producers. Fair and sustainable business models that create opportunities for rural entrepreneurship and develop new forms of successful rural business are therefore needed.
C4B business models will be designed to balance the share of power and profits across novel bio-based value chains to accelerate the development of rural communities and their economic viability and enhance the cooperation among farmers, foresters and industry.

Funded by the European Union, under Grant Agreement N° 101135323.
WINN-ORGANIC will establish Organic Food Innovation Hubs in seven European countries to co-create, test, and scale innovative solutions for processing, sustainable packaging, and digital tools in the organic fruit, vegetable, and dairy sectors. By applying Living Labs and the quintuple helix approach, the project will connect farmers, researchers, businesses, policymakers, and citizens to foster collaboration, stimulate co-creation, and encourage the emergence of new business models.
Beyond innovation, the project will promote knowledge sharing through training activities and communities of practice, helping spread solutions across Europe. It will also assess sustainability impacts and provide actionable policy recommendations, supporting the growth of the organic sector and shaping its long-term development beyond 2030.
Funded by the European Union and Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI).

The AGROECOLOGY Partnership, unites the European Commission and 111 partners across 31 Member States, Associated Countries, and Third Countries. This ambitious initiative aligns national programs to enhance research and innovation on a pan-European scale. Dedicated to fostering a sustainable, resilient, and farmer-friendly agriculture sector, the Partnership tackles climate change, biodiversity loss, and food security. Agroecology, inspired by natural interactions and advanced technology, incorporates farmers’ knowledge to address diverse challenges. Through Living Labs and Research Infrastructures, the Partnership expedites the transition to agroecology.

Skilled and well-connected advisors with organic competences are essential to support the sustainable growth of the organic sector. To address this need, the OrganicAdviceNetwork project is building a strong European network of both experienced and new advisors specialising in organic farming. The project facilitates knowledge exchange and capacity building through a combination of in-person and online activities, including cross-visits, workshops, and e-learning.
In addition, the project strengthens the development of organic advisory services by providing policy recommendations and enhancing connections between advisors and other actors within the AKIS system.
As of November 2025, the OrganicAdviceNetwork network had brought together more than 3,330 participants from 121 countries, with 41% consisting of farm advisors, newcomers, and students interested in organic advisory services.
OrganicAdviceNetwork is funded by the European Union (Grant no. 101134850) and by the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (Grant no. 23.0639, 101134850).
